The vulnerability profile method that was developed and used is applicable for any large river basin of the world. The results will be comparable to each other. For further studies, we recommend to select the Method 2 )integrated indexing) among the two developed ones since it is simpler and more transparent to used. It can more of the aggregate indices used; for instance the multihazard components, each of which can be looked at separately if there is a need to assess, for instance, the spatial vulnerability to floods, droughts, etc., at a more detailed level. Such decoupling may also be very important in studies that analyse river basin vulnerability to a specific driver such as climate change or urbanization.
