Privacy: the freedom of the individual to be left alone. Usually this is
concerned with the rights of the general public to have their privacy protected
but in this case it is about an employee being able to keep her personal emails
private – even though they have been sent in work time. As stated in the text,
the major fault of the college was in not making it clear to (and agreed with)
the employee what was and what was not acceptable personal use at work.
