2. Materials and methods
2.1. Samples
A total of 195 samples of chicken meat including 39 broiler, 45 layers, 31 domestic chicken and 80 samples of eggs (40 farms and 40 domestic) were collected from markets, slaughter houses and shops from central areas of Punjab, Pakistan, during December 2011to March 2012. The samples were stored in ice box during transportation and stored in plastic bags at 4 C, until further analysis.
