To begin with, an understanding of the fundamental elements of the innovation diffusion process is needed. Mahajan and Peterson (1985) and Rogers (2003) state that (1) innovation, (2) communication channels, (3) time, and (4) a social system are the four elements of the innovation diffusion process. In this paper, a communication channel maps the nomination, time maps the period, and the social system maps the network described in Section 2.
