The last thing that you as a parent want to hear when you arrive to pick up your precious little one is how another child decided to have him for a snack and took a bite out of his arm or how the bruise on his face is from a rogue swing. Child safety is a major concern of both parents and teachers in preschool, and the more precautions that can be taken, the safer the child and the more secure you will feel about the school.
Safety Supplies
Ask about the safety supplies on hand at your child's nursery school. A few Scooby Doo bandages, a box of tissues and a handful of disinfecting wipes are just not going to do it. Every preschool should have a fully stocked first aid kit with ice packs, insect sting treatments, disinfectants, burn treatment, eye wash and antibiotic wipes readily available and easily transported. Of course, the necessary assortment of Mickey Mouse, Sponge Bob, Disney Princess or Dora bandages can also go a long way in soothing a scratch or scraped knee.
