RESULTS
Parallel Measurement of PM10
Means of CV among air samplers for PM2.5, PM2.5-10, and
PM10 were 5.1, 5.3, and 2.9%, respectively, indicating high
precision of the air samplers. The comparison between
PCD data for PM10 and our measurement during the same
period at the inlet of the particulate monitor installed on
top of the PCD station is shown in Figure 2. Although
PCD data and PM10 values were well correlated (r = 0.93;
n = 6), the slope of the regression line was 1.54, indicating
a higher value than the PCD report from direct reading
of β-ray attenuation. The correlation between PCD
data and PM2.5 values measured by our method was even
higher (r = 0.94), and the slope was 1.07.
