And regarding “Ramakien”, it is Thailand's national epic with origins in the Hindu epic “Ramayana”. Many versions of the epic were lost in the destruction of Thailand’s ancient kingdom, Ayutthaya, in 1767. Later on King Rama II rewrote some parts of the epic as scripts for Thai mask classical dance, Khon. Many things in the epic really have had strong influences on Thai lifestyles and Thai products such as clothes and weapons. Ramakien is the story of the battle between Phra Ram and Thotsakan. Phra Ram is the son of King Thotsarot of Ayutthaya and the incarnation of Phra Narai, one of the Hindu Gods. And Thotsakan is the King of the demons of Lanka, who has ten faces and twenty arms and possesses a myriad of weapons. In that respect, Phra Ram represents good while Thotsakan represents evil
