Agro-industrial waste reutilization is essential to the biotech-nological scientific field, due to a constant search for reduction inenvironmental impacts caused by human action on nature. In thiscontext, many rejected materials, mainly the ones derived from theagro industry, have been evaluated for their potential reuse andvalue adding. Plant materials are potential feedstock sources forenergy production, showing high levels of product recovery withabout 180 billion tons produced annually (40% cellulose and 30%hemicellulose) [1]. Only a small amount of cellulose, hemicelluloseand lignin obtained as byproducts in agricultural activities is uti-lized, with the remainder being considered as waste. Thus, manystudies have been performed targeting the potential use of fer-mentable sugars, such as glucose and xylose, which are releasedafter biomass hydrolysis.
