C. Touch Screen Adiiitional Features Tabs
As mentioned before, the lower part of the touch screen
houses selected additional features (not available in most of
cars). These include tabs for GPS system, access to memory
card and appointments. For GPS, while in 'on' status all eight
tabs will be replaced with a position entering tab. The position
is entered using the qwerty keyboard. As soon as the position is
entered, the pointer will search for the related destinations.
Selecting the destination from the pop ups will automatically
return back to the initial display and the path traversing will be
displayed in bold red colour on the map. It can be repeated 'n'
number of times during the same journey. The additional
features also includes common tabs like distance travelled by
vehicle till date, degree of coolant, fuel left, weather conditions
and time. The distance is displayed in kilometers and in miles
for convenience. Coolant plays an important function in
controlling the heat level of engine. Thus, degree of coolant is
the percentage of the cold engine with respect to overall
engine. Coolant percentage is shown with the vertical meter
with varying colour from blue (cold) to red (hot). Fuel left in
car is another piece of information which is displayed in liters
and gallons. Basic weather conditions such as maximum and
minimum temperature, humidity, probability of rain are
displayed under the tab of weather conditions. Current time is
always updated on the screen and displayed to the user. It also
provides the user an option for displaying time of more than
one time zone
