Serving the same low-end consumer market, the iBook brought performance and style to the consumer portable market. Jobs became the permanent CEO in the beginning of 20000, and announced a new Internet focus called iTools. iTool (now called Mac)is a suite of Apple-exclusive Internet applications such as e-mail, website, iDisk online storage, and virus protection. Apple's stock price escalated to over $130 per share in March 2000 as Steve Jobs revived investor confidence.
