1-(2,4-Dinitrophenyl)-2-(propan-2-ylidene)hydrazone (Fig. 10(d))
was the only compound identified, implying that only acetone was
present and trapped from the gaseous phase. This result was in agreement with the GC/MS and GC/FID analysis of bio-oil fractions
where formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and acetone were not
identified (Section 3.3.3). Presumably these compounds were not
formed in appreciable amount during the pyrolysis.
