Responsibility:
1. Prepares purchase orders by considering price, quality, availability, reliability, and technical support when choosing suppliers and merchandise.
3. Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
4. Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
5. Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
6. Budgeting, costing and cost saving after reviewing the management information available.
7. Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality both domestic and local.
8. Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them.
9. Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
10. Other job assignments.
