Until 2013 each member was audited formally at least annually by a multidisciplinary team made up of group management staff. However, due to staff shortages this system has broken down and almost no internal audits were undertaken during 2014, particularly when compared to the very effective system that was in place in prior years. Management is thus not in a position to identify non-compliances and a fully functioning system of recorded internal CARs to rectify any shortcomings is not currently in place. Although group management visits members on a regular basis, this is not done in a manner that is structured to identify and record non-conformances or other issues of concern. No register of internal CARs is for instance available. Management thus has limited means of formally evaluating the performance of their members.
