of Historical and Archaeological Monuments
This directorate is responsible for the preservation, restoration, rehabilitation
and protection of historical and archaeological remains in the form
of both permanent and moving objects that are considered ‘monuments’.
Indonesia recognizes two types of monument: Gdead’ (no longer functioning
