The studies that have been conducted in this area are debatable, difficult to compare and often not representative[25–27]. Some of them have shown that nutrition habits do not change significantly during pregnancy[26], while others have found support for the proposition that pregnant women clearly do show some changes in dietary behaviour[25,27].
