Singapore
Singapore was founded as a British trading colony in 1819. It joined the Malaysian Federation in 1963 but separated two years later and became independent. It subsequently became one of the world's most prosperous countries with strong international trading links (its port is the world's busiest in terms of tonnage handled) and with per capita GDP equal to that of the leading nations of Western Europe.
The country is located in Southeastern Asia, islands between Malaysia and Indonesia. The weather is hot and humid. The natural resources are fish and deepwater ports.

Their independence day is 9 August 1965, from Malaysian Federation. The currency is Singapore dollar (SGD).
Since Singapore is a mixture of many cultures, different tastes and styles of livings can be modified. Singapore is famous for its shopping malls such as People's Park Complete, Pearl Centre in the China Town, Mustafa Centre in the Little India, and S.H.E. Collection of the Malay village. The country is known as the shoppers' paradise of Asia.
The Peninsular Plaza, Funan Centre, which is a famous hunting ground for IT products, and The Adelphi are other popular places to visit.

In Sentosa Island, is Singapore's famous Merlion. The Merlion or "Sea Lion" is the half-lion and half-fish creature of Singaporean legend. It is considered Singapore's benevolent guardian and is one of the many mysteries of the sea. Many other entertainments and attractions are also available in Sentosa Island.
Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and Jurong Bird Park which offer excellent exhibits of animals and birds presented in their natural environment for the purpose of conservation, education and recreation.
Other tourist attractions like National Museum and Art Gallery is a historical museum housed in a colonial building build in 1887.
Year round festivals are held in Singapore and the country is also known as the Garden City of Asia.
