We have presented an analytical technique for computing achievable throughput for a single flow in a multihop wireless network, taking into account blocking and interference.
Extension/Modification of the model to compute achievable throughput values for an arbitrary mix of flows where a node may be relaying traffic for multiple flows, thereby receiving traffic from and/or forwarding traffic to multiple nodes is an area for further research.
Such a general model would be very useful for making routing decisions and performing admission control in a multihop wireless network.
