Microemulsion was prepared by using tea tree oil as
the oil phase, Polysorbate 80 as surfactant and
Polyetylene glycol 400 as cosurfactants at varies amout
of tea tree oil and Smix (polysorbate 80 and
Polyethylene glycol 400) of 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1 as shown in
Table 1. Accurately droped Tea tree oil was placed in a
beaker, Smix and the DI water were added orderly until
the mixture opaque and the component were mixed. The
percentages of each ratio of Smix were selected to plot
pseudo-ternary phase diagram that showed in Figure 1,
Figure 2, and Figure 3 respectively. The highest
microemulsion region was to be continuous prepared
five formulas. The ratio surfactant to cosurfactant was
3:1 varied from 20 to 85% w/w and amount of water
varied from 5 to 70% w/w in 10% tea tree oil.
