Intervention
The training groups had two major goals: to provide a group experience to the students as part of their training, and to increase trainees' personal growth, Groups were interactional in nature, with a strong focus on the exploration of feelings and the development of insight in a supportive climate. Based on Kivilighan and Holmes' (2004) categorization (affective support, cognitive support, affective insight, and cognitive insight), these groups can best be categorized as affective insight groups.
