The SoundFly Air’s button instead hosts a backlit (green or orange, depending on the status) Wi-Fi symbol. Getting the Air on your network takes slightly more effort than Bluetooth pairing, unsurprisingly. You hold down this button to enter AirPlay-setup mode, which creates an ad-hoc Wi-Fi network. You then connect your computer, tablet, or smartphone to this network and point your browser to a special webpage to configure the speaker. (Sadly, the SoundFly relies on beeps and the flashing of the AirPlay button, rather than nice voice announcements, to indicate AirPlay status.)
