extract and their isorhamnetinglycosides, IGRR and IGR exhibited significant anti-inflammatorypotential through different mechanisms of action such as the sup-pression of cellular infiltration, inhibiting both the production ofnitric oxide and activity of COX-2, and decreased secretion ofcytokines. Also, we demonstrated that the anti-inflammatory effectwas greater with the OFI extract treatment probably because thesynergistic effects of their phytochemicals. However, we can onlyspeculate that the effect observed with the OFI extract is mainly dueto synergistic effect between isorhamnetin glycosides, particularlyisorhamnetin triglycosides.
