The experiment manipulated how a computer-based education
system presented a review period following the initial
instructional period. In order to alter review periods across
participants, we created four one-minute review segments,
each of which corresponded to one of the four lesson modules.
No new information was presented during the review
segments. Instead, each review segment gave a brief overview
of the important points initially taught during the corresponding
module and included both paintings presented for that art
period.
