4.4. Development strategies for a ‘Winged City’
The main objectives of the Asian Business Center are; the promotion of economic exchanges in Northeast Asia through efficient international business supports, in- cluding exhibition of products from various countries; the promotion of international trade and creates opportunities for new business activities through inte- gration and systemization of Northeast Asian distribu- tion networks; and the support of small and medium- sized distributors and retailers to open up new markets, identify customers’ needs, and carry out merchandising and other marketing activities.
Major functions of a Business Center would include international marketing supports, international infor- mation network services, consulting, exhibitions and conferences, lodging, and shopping. Specific functions of the Aero Business Park, one of the key facilities at the Asian Business Center, may include training supports through utilizing flight simulators, software develop- ment, R&D, management supports, and information exchanges.
