Now in her 80s, she still energetically engages people in dialogue about the Daishonin’s Buddhism, carrying with her a notebook in which she keeps a record of her encounters and exchanges with her many friends whose happiness she continues to chant for. “I was born with a mission for kosen-rufu,” she says. “When I think that everything, even the painful and sad events in my life, are all part of my mission, tears of immense gratitude flow forth. I will win by accumulating treasures of the heart!”
