2.2.3.2. Duo-trio test. Duo trio test was conducted wherein three juice samples were prepared, two of which were the same. Using one of the two identical samples as a control, the tasters were asked to decide which of the other two remaining samples was same as the control sample and the tasters’ responses were recorded. Results are based on probability of evaluator being able
to pick the correct sample 50% of the time.
2.2.3.3. Ranking test. Ranking test involved the tasks such as ranking a specific attribute e.g. sweetness. The test allowed the tasters to evaluate samples and place them in rank according to the presence or absence of the attribute on a qualitative scale of ‘very good’to ‘not at all’.
