and ferrous ore. The need for industrial wastewater treatment and
reuse is more pressing for water scarce regions than for water
rich regions. The spatial distribution of water resources also has
substantial impact on membrane technology applications. Generally
speaking, the water scarce provinces with rich coal, crude petroleum, and/or ferrous ore appear to have much more membrane
applications for treating industry wastewater.
