Furthermore, the attitudes and behaviour of people and groups in organizations are not explained fully by formal structure, nor are they detailed in organizational charts. The manner in which employees interpret jobs, operationalize tasks and work within formal structures becomes the actual organizational design. Despite this, organizational charts still remain popular probably because they are easy to understand and give an idea of a seemingly coherent structure.
