Considering that one purpose trip can be a multiplex series of transit modes, for example,
bicycle-rail-bus-walk, integrated transit O/D is built based on integrated network, and multi-
path is assigned using EMME/2. This reflects the competitive relationships among the
transportation modes in reality and the fact that multiple combinations of the modes are
possible for just one purpose trip. For the simplicity of the model, a personal trip, composing
of automobile, taxi, and walking, is assumed to correspond to only one mode. The total
transit O/D is derived from the total purpose O/D subtracting personal trip O/D.
