Furthermore, this paper adds to the body of knowledge on e-training adoption that
already exists. This was done by generating the literature on the study variables. This
study also helps in testing the ability of TAM in technology adoption in developing
countries, particularly the Nigerian civil service. In addition, this study serves as a point
of reference for future researchers in the area of e-training. This paper has contributed to
TAM literature by using the combination of the aforementioned factors. Another
significance of this paper is that it could assist managers and policymakers to get better
knowledge about the e-training adoption, proposed factors influencing e-training
adoption, PEOU and PU. This would go a long way towards helping them in designing
policies that would maximise e-training results.

policymakers should formulate policies that would gear the expenditure of federal
government of Nigeria towards ensuring adequate support, provision of infrastructure
and power supply. If this is done, it would be capable of promoting technology adoption
in the country to the extent of enhancing the nation’s economic well-being.
