The data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0/Windows. Descriptive statistics
were used in the evaluation of the general characteristics of the
patients and the survey test data. Between-groups significances were
evaluated using chi-square and Fisher tests for qualitative data and
independent-samples t test, Mann–Whitney U and Kruskal–Wallis
tests for quantitative data. The correlations between age, HbA1c, BMI,
BDS and EAT scale scoreswere evaluated through Spearman correlation
analysis. The limit for statistical significance was set as Pb.05.
