The results obtained show that
Mentha spicata
extract is non

of 5000 mg/kg. Since the plant is consumed as a
culinary herb, it means it can be safely taken in
amounts that do not exceed the equivalent of the
extract dose of 5000 mg/kg. Same applies for its
herbal medi
cinal use. Our findings may lend
some support for the claimed medicinal use of
the plant for several decades
without apparent
untoward effect.
