Faults
12.1 Procedure:
If the Automatic Grinder is used correctly and the maintenance programme in Chapter 11 is followed, this machine should operate for many years without faults or malfunction.
If however for some reason symptoms are observed that indicate a malfunction, such as noise, power loss, electric shock or other malfunction, it is advisable to take immediate action before the damage becomes worse or a loss of safety causes an accident.
In the event of wishing to resolve the fault or malfunction with one’s own resources, it is advisable for the intervention to be carried out by experienced and qualified personnel with good knowledge of mechanics or electricity, whichever the case.
In order to facilitate this intervention, Section 12.2 features a list of possible faults and how to resolve them.
If the symptoms are not clear, it is advisable to consult CATO’s Technical Service prior to an intervention that could prove unnecessary or incorrect and worsen the problem.
In the event of requiring spare parts to resolve the fault, Chapter 13 features a list of the parts that make up the machine, which, together with the drawings and diagrams provided in Chapter 14, enable the location and identification of the necessary parts with corresponding reference codes.
If you do not have the technical or personnel resources to resolve the fault, contact CATO’s Technical Service to request an intervention. In order to ensure that the intervention is effective and satisfactory, it is advisable to always provide the model and serial number of the machine when requesting the intervention, which are indicated on the front cover of this manual and also on the nameplate attached to the machine.
