Two investigators and two research assistants read the
same three transcripts independently and developed a
coding scheme during a two-day meeting.
The rest of the transcripts were coded line by line by one researcher
to ensure consistency using the constant comparison
method, and coding was refined through continued
discussion among team members. The coding process
was facilitated by the qualitative data analysis program
NVivo 9, and the socio demographic information was
analyzed with SPSS®, version 15.0.
