Simply collectivising the analysis of memory from individual to something social does not add anything particularly new to the of the problem. That said, however, it seems that there understanding where the social scientific are at least three areas of theoretical interest subject matter. The first approach could make a novel contribution to the of embodiedness; is the particular type of memory which has a character remediation the second is the study of the nature of social mediation and through which the memory is constructed; and finally, there is the wider setting where such reconstructed social memory is used and abused in political manoeuvres or as part of a more general collective social formation. The following sections will deal with the above-mentioned areas separately.
