The students can probably understand that the patterns work in all two-digit problems (up to 95 x 95), so try to plan activities using a developmental approach, like expanding the lesson to triple-digit numbers or changing the conditions, as shown in Figure 3. Figure
4 shows a plan of further developing the lesson.
