The mounting risks created by the speed
of technological change call for greater
understanding of how technology will transform
the way work gets done and resilience within
the workforce. When things go wrong “we often
blame the technology, but often it is the processes
which are at fault,” says Ross McEwan, Group
Chief Executive of RBS. He believes that the most
important element of making it all work is that
“your people are trained to actually understand
that process and how it feeds into that technology
and how they can access the systems and
processes really well”.
