SAP production testing was performed according to the methodology of Ruchel ¨ 19 with a few modifications.
The test medium consisted of agar plates containing bovine serum albumin (BSA).
The agar medium was prepared using 20 g of dextrose, 1 g of potassium phosphate, 0.5 g of magnesiumsulfate,
and 15 g of agar in 1 l of distilled water. This solution was autoclaved and cooled down to 50◦C.
The BSA medium was prepared using 2 g of albumin, 0.2 g of riboflavin,
0.4 g of nicotinic acid, and 0.4 g of thiamine hydrochloride in 1 l of distilled water.
This solution was sterilized by filtration with a 0.22 μm membrane filter and mixed with the agar medium
