Life cycle assessment is based on environmental aspects and impacts of services, products or processes. It is guided by ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 (ISO, 2006a; 2006b). According to those standards, an LCA study must comprise four stages: goal and scope definition, inventory analysis, impact assessment and interpretation. Thus, this section refers to the first two stages and the description of how we conducted impact assessment. Its effective results and interpretation are presented in the section Results and Discussions.
