he epic legend of Kad Luang community, Māhākād is composed of historical imagery of the market place together with personal photographs and memorabilia of the community, expressing the diversity of cultures.
An accompanying limited edition comic book retraces the history of the community with reflections on contemporary society, interpreted by a diverse group of market folk from different cultural backgrounds are actually ‘ghosts’ who re-visit Kad Luang during a winter’s night to share memories of their beloved community.
In collaboration with traditional movie billboard painters evoking a charm of times past, the series of Māhākād billboards by Navin Production Studio are presented at different festival venues including the central building of Kad Luang market. These pieces represents the Māhākād for the cover of Compass magazine which has published a special edition for the occasion.
