Most of the NTs were conjugated with AuNPs and were precipitated in the bottom. The precipitate shows a fluorescence signal under UV light (Fig. 2A).

In tube B, there is a red pellet under white light in the bottom, while the solution shows yellowish fluorescence under UV light.

It shows that without crosslinkers,the NTs and bio-barcoded AuNPs cannot be conjugated.
