Until now, the pathogenicity of S. suis isolated from human patients
has not been investigated enough, and there is no report that
human infections of S. suis are caused by intestinal translocation. In
addition, there is little known about the pathogenic bacterium
that originates outside the human intestinal translocation that is induced by alcoholic liver diseases. Thus, the aim of this study is to
evaluate whether alcohol consumption enhances S. suis infection
