BEHAVIORAL NORMS Behavioral norms, which evolve over a period of time, are well-understood standards of behavior within a group. They are benchmarks against which team members are evaluated and judged by other team members. Some behavioral norms become written rules, such as an attendance policy or an ethical code for a team.
