Ageing is an inevitable part of animal growth. However, certain processes associated with ageing like memory loss, increased physical restrictions, dietary abnormalities etc are rather undesirable symptoms of ageing which can probably be avoided. Since ageing is a purely biological process, understanding its biological aspects can help us pin down these painful parts of growing old and resolve them, if not completely, at least satisfactorily. Betterment of the standard of living can always be achieved only through careful observation of biological aspects of living things. Moreover, cancer cells have an acute tendency to selfishly rescue themselves from ageing unlike normal cells which makes ageing of prime interest to oncologists. Figuring out the process of normal ageing and how it is misregulated in cancer cells might provide us a cure that could target the ability of cancer cells to avoid ageing.
