acetat e fract ion, ascorbi c acid was 2.31 times and querceti n 35.5 tim es. Further, trol ox was found to be 5.6
time s more acti ve than the ether fraction, ascorbi c acid
3 tim es a nd quercet in 51.5 times more active than the
pre-m entioned fraction. The third more active sample
in CL was the but anol fraction . Trolox was found to
be 10 times more active than butanol fraction, ascorbi c
acid was 6 times more a ctive and quercetin was 92 times
more active than the pre-m entioned fraction.As it can be seen , the radica l scavengi ng activit y of
ethyl acetat e fraction approa ches the activity of the standard s bette r than the rest of the extracts, fract ions and
resi dues
