I was once told by an extreme micromanager that I was a routine based worker. I have since realized that I am only that in an abusive environment, where I am seeking to just survive. Where I really flourish is where I have a variety of tasks, the independence to develop my own strategy-somethings require routine to maximize efficiency, and others require flexibility and I am able to do that quite well left to my own devices. I am curious and realize that I need to tone down the questions a little at times, and keep them to what I see really enthuses a mentor/supervisor, and to problems I see coming on the horizon (I could use some feedback -this seems to be becoming an issue), in order to not inadvertently seem like I rely on others for every single thing.
