FIRST AID KIT :
5.1 First Aid Kit(s) shall be carried on all aircraft.
5.2 The First Aid Kit container must be moisture and dust-proof
and readily accessible to cabin attendants/flight crew, in
flight, except in the case of gliders, where it can be
located at any practically convenient place.
5.3 The First Aid Kit container shall be of green background
with a white cross of size atleast 2 inches into 2 inches
and the words "FIRST AID KIT" in prominent letters shall
appear on the front surface of the container.
5.4 First Aid Kit(s) shall be sealed and the contents duly
certified by a Registered Medical Practitioner/ Medical
Officer holding atleast an MBBS degree as per proforma in
Appendix 'A'.
5.5 The First Aid Kit must remain sealed till the time of its
use. After use it must be replenished and certified by a
medical practitioner and resealed. If the seal is broken
during bomb threat inspection or due security reasons or due
to usage of the kit and cannot be recertified due to non
availability of qualified doctor, the First Aid kit may be
carried on board in unsealed condition provided it is
recertified at the first available opportunity or arrival at
base, which ever is earlier.
