At the Beach
View passage image
Rob is excited. The car ride is finally over. He is at the beach! His family walks over to the sand. They are overcome by the warm, salty breeze.
They walk onto the beach. They look around. After looking for a couple minutes, they find a good spot. Rob’s dad opens an umbrella. The umbrella blocks the hot sun. Rob’s mom sets up some chairs. It's nice to sit in a chair on the beach. Rob’s sister carries the cooler. The cooler is filled with drinks and snacks. Rob hands out towels. The towels are used to dry off after you go into the water. They can also be used as a pillow.
Rob puts on sunscreen. Rob wants to go swimming. But his mom tells him to wait. He must wait until the sunscreen dries. So Rob waits. While he waits he looks around. He sees a group of people throwing a frisbee. He hears a dog barking. He smells the salty air. He feels the warm breeze. Rob is patient. The sunscreen is almost dry. And it's almost time to swim!
