The material exhibits cracking at the prior grain
boundaries when deformed in the lower + temperature
regime (900 °C) and slower strain rates (
10−1 s−1). Incompatibility between the deformation
behavior of and phases at the prior grain
boundary is found to be responsible for this cracking.
