Louis van Gaal ‘wants David de Gea and Robin van Persie to complete transfers away from Manchester United before USA tour’
Louis van Gaal reportedly wants David de Gea and Robin van Persie to have completed a transfer away from Manchester United before Monday.
The Dutch boss will lead his troops to the USA for their pre-season tour early next week.
And he doesn’t want to take anyone on the trip who won’t be part of the squad next season, according to the Mirror.
To avoid the complication of them not being named in the travelling party, LvG is hopeful that they will have both left the club.
Van Persie is expected to leave United for Turkish giants Fenerbahce while de Gea should move to Real Madrid.
Van Gaal will take Victor Valdes, Anders Lindegaard and Sam Johnstone on tour and sees little value of bringing de Gea as well.
Angel Di Maria and Marcos Rojo will also miss the tour following their involvement in the Copa America.
