During the past year the eFez system has been
successfully implemented and put into operation
in several BECs of the Agdal arrondissement (i.e.
county) in the city of Fez. The current phase that
started in January 2007 aims at deploying the
system in all the arrondissements (i.e. counties)
and BECs of the city of Fez. The main problems
that we are facing with this scaling-up of the city
digitization, is the lack of human resources trained
in the use of ICTs, and the lack of human resources
able to train BEC employees and officers in the
new ways to manage a BEC and to use the eGov
system. Hopefully, the researchers have devised a
training strategy involving selected BEC officers
and employees that participated in the eFez Project
and became trainers of the staff of the BECs in
which the system will be deployed
